Kathryn (Katie) Zellers is the Director of Apostles Community Preschool. Katie is a graduate of Kutztown University with a B.S. in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. She earned her M.S. in Language and Literacy from Millersville University. She also has a Reading Specialist and ESL (English as a Second Language) certification from Millersville. Mrs. Zellers taught first grade at Ross Elementary School in the School District of Lancaster for 12 years.
Linda received her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary and Kindergarten Education from Penn State, and Reading Specialist certification from Millersville University. She and husband are parents of two children, both of whom are Apostles Community Preschool graduates. Linda is a member of Church of Apostles where she teaches the preschool Sunday School and plays in the handbell choir.

Yellow Bear Teacher
Megan earned her Bachelor’s degree from Villanova University and has her Master’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Pennsylvania. She taught in public schools in grades K – 4 for five years prior to joining the team at Apostles Community Preschool. Megan’s gentle and caring ways help the Yellow Bears prepare for kindergarten!

Yellow Bear Aide
Ashley received a Bachelor Degree in Marketing from West Liberty University in West Virginia. She has both a son and a daughter that have graduated from Apostles Community Preschool. When her children attended ACP, Ashley was an active member of Parent Council and instrumental in fundraising for our current playground. Ashley is currently an active hockey mom, a Girl Scout’s Leader and very active in her children’s PTO. Her boundless energy, caring and creativity are a wonderful asset for the Yellow Bear children.
Blue Bear Teacher
Heather received a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a Master of Education degree, specializing in School Counseling, both from Millersville University. She taught in the Central York School District until she and her husband had children. Both their son and daughter attended and loved Apostles Preschool.

Blue Bear Aide
Tami is a graduate of Lampeter-Strasburg High School. She was married at this very church, Church of the Apostles, and both of her children attended Apostles Community Preschool. While her son was in the Blue Bear class she was a substitute; however, school year 2013-1014, she was hired as a permanent Aide. She keeps very busy as she is also employed by the Hempfield School District as an Instructional Aide on her days off from ACP.

Orange Bear Teacher
Katie graduated from Millersville University with a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. After graduation she was a director and teacher at Tender Love and Care in Harrisburg. Katie also taught Title I Reading for two years and second grade for six years at Pequea Valley School District. During that time she was named a Commended First Year Teacher for the state of Pennsylvania and recommended for the Sallie Mae First Year Teacher Award. Katie’s youngest daughter is an Apostles alum.

Karen graduated from Hempfield High School, and then travelled south to Norfolk, VA where she attended Old Dominion University. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management with a Minor in Management. Karen and her husband have two children, both of which attended Apostles Community Preschool.

Michelle “Mikki” DiDomenico Reich has worked with children for most of her life, starting at Church of the Apostles Sunday School and nursery, as well as working at a child care center with children ages 6 weeks – three. She taught in a public school for five years prior to joining staff at Apostles Community Preschool. She holds a Master’s in Elementary Education with a certificate in Early Education as well a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary English Education, all from Millersville University.
She and her husband have two beautiful boys and a little girl. All of her children have gone through, are currently attending or plan to attend Apostles Community Preschool. Michelle is an alumnus of Apostles Preschool with lots of preschool memories. “I look forward to creating life-long memories for all of your children as well.”

Angela Post Speitel
Green Bear Teacher
Angela has an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Montgomery County Community College and a Bachelor’s Degree from Millersville University in Elementary Education. She is the mother of four boys, all of whom have attended Apostles Preschool.

Green Bear Aide
Carol grew up on a farm in Bedford, PA with nine siblings. She is a member of the West Hempfield Fire and Rescue Company and is an active Emergency Medical Technician.

Purple Bear Teacher
Melissa received her Bachelor’s Degree from Millersville University. After that, she taught preschool and worked as a case manager for children with disabilities. She also spent several years running a program for mothers of preschoolers through a church. Melissa and her husband are the proud parents of three little boys! Having moved to the area, their middle and youngest children attended Apostles Community Preschool the year before kindergarten! Melissa is a member of the Church of the Apostles and loves all the children’s programs the church has to offer.

Purple Bear Aide
Molly is graduate of Lancaster Catholic HS and Lancaster School of Cosmetology. For a period of time she worked in the toddler room of Learning Ladder Child Care Center. She has also worked as a Barber before staying home with her two youngest kids. For many years now, Molly has been teaching Zumba Fitness classes. She and her husband have 3 amazing children: the oldest is a college graduate and lives in Chicago and the younger 2 attend St Leo.
Molly brings to the Purple Bears endless energy and love! She is a wonderful fit for the littlest children that attend ACP!

Stephanie graduated from Millersville University, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education. Prior to teaching at ACP, she taught at Penn Manor High School for 8 years as a Learning Support Teacher. She is a member of Church of the Apostles and has assisted with Sunday School for 4 years. She and her husband has two children. Their oldest was Blue Bear at ACP. Currently their youngest child is attending ACP.
Purple Bear Aide
Jeannie joins us after being an at home mom to her two boys. One of her boys currently attend ACP and another plans to as soon as her is old enough. Jeannie attended Kutztown University for two years and majored in Special Education / Elementary Education. Since then, she has worked as a Kindergarten Para-Educator at Hamilton Elementary School and as a Camp Counselor at Camp Schreiber, through Schreiber Pediatric Rehab Center, and at Aaron’s Acres. She is also a church member, where she is on Church Council and Education Commission.
